Lets do everything in our power to leave better children for our planet, while trying to leave a better planet for our children :)
This page has been created to give you ideas on some learning activities you can do with your infants, toddlers and young children. We individualize our program based on the child's needs including the Montessori method, ABA, DTT and Adaptive Skills
Helping Hands Early Education Center is a strong curriculum-based program offering a high quality education for your child’s early developmental years. We are committed to providing your child with a nurturing and academically enriched environment. We accept children from birth through kindergarten/first grade, as well as an after school program with tutoring and local transportation for part time students. It is important for a child to have a healthy transition into a school setting rather than just being immediately institutionalized at an early age. We provide confidential fees based on a sliding scale.
We practice early learning through hands on activities and specialized individual attention. We provide an education based on a personal assessment done on each child, letting us know exactly what exercises to work on individually.
A home away from home, with a little bit of a transition into a school setting allows for children to learn role-playing and development of language skills to stimulate your child's imagination. This plays an important role in the development of each child.
ART
Where children can express themselves using a variety of media.
This helps your child develop their hand-eye coordination through the use of crayons, markers, finger and brush painting, cutting, tearing, gluing, tracing, and other tactile experiences.
LIBRARY
Your child will learn the value of reading and learning using books that are fun and informative. This also will develop your child's language growth and development. They will be introduced to literature by listening to stories and learning to recognize letters to prepare for reading.
SCIENCE
The more your child knows and understands about his or her world, the more independent and confident he/she becomes. Experimenting, animal knowledge, and growing plants give your child new experiences to think about and encourages them to ask questions.
SENSORY
A child needs to feel that he/she can control and manage his/her world. Using different mediums such as water, cornmeal, play dough, and sand help to give them confidence.
BLOCK BUILDING
This center is designed to develop problem solving and negotiating skills in a group setting. Even more importantly, block building furthers the growth of scientific thinking involving inquiry, invention, and discovery.
